You can make a cover yourself but they are available commercially now through Kootenay Covers. The material is extremely UV resistant and should last many years; 3-year old covers still look like new. The holes are just barely too small for the flies to get through so they can't lay eggs on the cherries. We feel the same way about how we work at gardening, but how God provides the increase. However, it is great to go into the garden and pick everything needed for a garden salad to compliment dinner. My wife and I also notice how much more appreciative we are of home grown vegetables. We place more value on our own garden veggies than if we buy them in the store.
